The role of software architect is emerging as a distinct discipline within the software development community. UC Irvine Extension’s Software Architect Certificate Program provides the skills and knowledge needed to begin making the career transition from software developer to software architect. Individuals who earn this certificate will aquire the knowledge and skills needed to develop the layout of a software application and plan the interoperability of its components. Students in the certificate program focus on the following key skill areas:
